Ahoj, jsem Eva, and I’d love to help you learn Czech – my native language, but I can also teach you European Portuguese!
I hold a Master’s degree in Portuguese Language and Literature, which gave me a rich background in Portuguese culture, linguistics, history, and literature. I spent two semesters studying at the universities of Porto and Coimbra, and later travelled across much of Portugal in my van.
I’m an online language tutor who enjoys making lessons engaging by incorporating cultural elements as well as the personal interests and goals of each student. My lessons are well-structured, and I always adapt to your pace.
I started teaching Portuguese online right after graduating in spring 2024. This work has not only allowed me to support myself during my travels across Europe, but also quickly became something I truly enjoy – thanks to my regular students and their progress.

Trial lesson
The trial lesson is meant for scheduling, getting familiar with the online learning environment and materials – but most importantly, for getting to know each other and having a small taste of Czech or Portuguese.
Short lesson
A short lesson is ideal as a supplement to a full 55-minute lesson (e.g. conversation practice), for children, or for those who have less time or find it difficult to stay focused for a full hour.
Czech (B1, B2, C1, C2) / European Portuguese (B1, B2) for intermediate or advanced
This type of lesson is suitable for more advanced learners. It can focus on reinforcing more complex grammar rules, listening and understanding videos, podcasts, or music, as well as speaking and having conversations on topics that interest you.
Czech / European Portuguese for beginners (A1, A2)
This type of lesson is suitable for complete beginners as well as lower-intermediate learners. In my teaching, I combine different types of study materials and focus on correct pronunciation, mastering grammar, working with texts, listening comprehension, and developing the student's communication skills.
